Initiatives of the Vałovič University

Interdisciplinary Methodological Seminar

A series of open meetings for researchers dedicated to exploring methods at the intersection of the humanities, social sciences, and technology. The seminar will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, discussion, and the development of research approaches relevant to Belarus.

Presentation of Specialized Research and Educational Centers

The Vałovič University will introduce its research centers — in philosophy, sociology, international studies, and other fields. The presentations will showcase the teams, research areas, and opportunities for collaboration.

Vałovič Forum

An annual international gathering of researchers, educators, and students focusing on current issues of Belarus in a global context. The Forum will combine academic discussions, public lectures, and cultural events, creating a space for broad dialogue.

Project “Asvieta” (Enlightenment)

An initiative aimed at developing public education practices — including open lectures, discussions, and online courses on Belarusian history, language, culture, and contemporary issues. The goal is to expand the Belarusian presence in the international educational sphere and to promote a culture of critical thinking.

Project “Scientific Horizons of the Vałovič University”

A series of research programmes bringing together young scholars and experts around complex interdisciplinary topics. The project will foster joint research, publications, and conferences, contributing to the development of a modern Belarusian scholarly school.

Academic Journal Registration

The launch of an academic journal dedicated to the analysis of contemporary processes in Belarus and the region. The journal will publish articles by Belarusian and international authors, fostering scholarly discussion on the country’s challenges and prospects. The first issue is planned for 2026.

Public Lecture Series

A series of public lectures and discussions held in different cities across Poland, dedicated to history, culture, sociology, anthropology, international relations, and critical thinking. The project brings together Belarusian scholars and researchers around pressing contemporary issues, creating an open space for education, academic dialogue, and the development of a culture of critical thinking within the Belarusian community. The first lecture series was carried out in the second half of 2025 and the first half of 2026.
